Group Leader Guide

Members to manage, money to receive, a public face to run.

Step 1

Create a group

  1. 1Go to revealbible.app/start-group.
  2. 2Enter a group name and (optionally) a description.
  3. 3Signed in? You'll see a green indicator. Not signed in? Fill in the Account section right on the form — Reveal creates your account and the group in one step.
  4. 4You land in your Group Hub at /org/{your-slug}.

You can create up to 3 groups per Reveal account.

Step 2

Invite members

The Group Hub has one primary card: Invite people.

  • Share — opens your phone's native share sheet.
  • Copy Link — copies the invite URL.
  • Show QR Code — generates a QR your members can scan.

Your invite code (8 characters, e.g. ZHLQLKTJ) is displayed under the buttons. It doesn't expire.

Advanced invite options

Expand Advanced invite options for expiring links (7/14/30 days), single-use links, or role-specific invites. Most leaders never need these.

Step 3

Membership pricing

  • Free groups — members join with the invite code and get the Group tier automatically.
  • Paid groups — set a monthly price. Members pay you directly through Stripe Connect. Reveal takes a small platform fee (5%) plus Stripe's standard fees.

Step 4

Stripe Connect

  • Open Stripe Connect in the Group Hub → tap Connect Stripe.
  • Reveal uses the Standard controller — you get the full Stripe dashboard and money lands in your bank directly.
  • Once connected, subscriptions charge to your Stripe account. Reveal receives only the platform fee.

What to tell members: "You'll be billed by [your group name] through Stripe. That's my ministry's account, not Reveal's."

Step 5

Manual giving (payment links)

Even without Stripe Connect, you can accept giving through your existing links: CashApp, Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, Stripe Payment Link, or any URL.

Manual giving never touches Reveal. 100% goes to your organization.

Step 6

Revenue dashboard

  • Revenue estimator — enter member count and price; see "Member pays" and "You receive (est.)". Fee breakdown collapsed by default.
  • Membership revenue card — live subscriber count, monthly gross, monthly net.
  • Subscriber trend chart — tap any point for that month's total.

Step 7

Managing members

  • View role, join date, and avatar for every member.
  • Promote Member → Leader for a co-leader (same Hub access). Demote Leader → Member as needed.
  • Remove with the trash icon.

Step 8

Understanding payouts

  • Stripe deposits on its normal schedule (usually 2 business days, weekly by default).
  • Reveal's platform fee is netted before payout — you never send Reveal money.
  • Refunds and chargebacks live in your Stripe dashboard.
  • Taxes are your responsibility. Reveal does not issue 1099s.

Step 9

Sharing invite links

  • Text and email — paste the link.
  • Bulletins / slides — print the invite code or a QR.
  • Social posts — use the Share button; Reveal composes the message.
  • In person — show the QR from the Group Hub.

Do not share expiring or single-use links publicly — they're meant for specific people.
